As part of the North Dublin to North Africa Programme, our young participants have taken to the saddle — not on the open roads, but right in the heart of Dublin. Over the first three weekends of October, the ILAC Centre has come alive with energy as we host our fundraising Bikeathon.
The response so far has been nothing short of inspiring. Shoppers, passers-by, and supporters have stopped to cheer us on, donate generously, and even hop on the bikes themselves to help keep the wheels turning. Every turn of the pedals brings us closer to our fundraising goals, supporting the incredible journey that lies ahead for the young people of this programme.
We want to say a huge thank you to:
- Hot Hit Cardio for their huge support and for keeping the energy levels high,
- The Bradog Youth Justice Team Bike Project for getting us road-ready.
Most of all, we thank the many cyclists who have joined in to give their time, energy, and pedal power to this great cause.
This is more than just a fundraiser – it’s a chance for young people from the North Inner City to experience new horizons, build skills, and broaden their outlook on life. With every push of the pedals, we are helping to make that journey possible.
Keep an eye out for us in the ILAC Centre over the coming weekends – and if you see us, please stop by, say hello, and maybe even lend your legs to the effort!
