A Brilliant Way to Close the Year: Just ASK Christmas Party 2025

By |December 19th, 2025|Categories: General|

Ready to go for the kids Christmas party 2025 We wrapped up the year in the best possible way yesterday, with a fantastic Christmas party for the children and young people of Just ASK. It was a day filled with laughter, energy and a real sense of community — a reminder of why this work matters so much. The kids had an amazing time, enjoying great food, fun activities and the simple joy of being together to celebrate the end of another busy year. For many of them, occasions like this are about far more than a

A Champion Visit to Dominick Street

By |December 5th, 2025|Categories: General|

We were honoured to welcome former World Boxing Champion Bernard Dunne to Just ASK on Dominick Street. Bernard generously shared his time, wisdom and warmth with the young people in our programmes — speaking about resilience, discipline, and the mindset needed to overcome life’s challenges both inside and outside the ring. His words struck a chord with everyone present, reminding us all of the power of belief, hard work and staying true to yourself. He also took time to chat with two of our aspiring young boxers, Dawson and Ollie, offering training tips, encouragement and a photo they’ll never

Paris2Nice Fundraising 2025

By |November 22nd, 2025|Categories: General|

We were delighted to attend the Paris2Nice fundraising event where the causes who received funding from the efforts of the Paris2Nice cyclists got to meet up with the cyclists and acknowledge the great work done by all. We were blown away by the generosity and friendship extended to us at this event. It was a wonderful night celebrating fundraising and friendship at Drury Buildings (thanks to Warren Massey). WE echo the Paris2Nice thanks to all the trainers and sponsors without who’s efforts the cycle couldn’t take place. This year, Paris2Nice raised over €700,000 across 24 different causes. Well done

Pedalling for Change: North Dublin to North Africa Bikeathon

By |October 4th, 2025|Categories: General|

As part of the North Dublin to North Africa Programme, our young participants have taken to the saddle — not on the open roads, but right in the heart of Dublin. Over the first three weekends of October, the ILAC Centre has come alive with energy as we host our fundraising Bikeathon. The response so far has been nothing short of inspiring. Shoppers, passers-by, and supporters have stopped to cheer us on, donate generously, and even hop on the bikes themselves to help keep the wheels turning. Every turn of the pedals brings us closer to our fundraising goals,

Opening Doors for Brunner TY Students: Can You Help?

By |September 23rd, 2025|Categories: General|

Denis O'Reilly talks to the TY students about opportunity. This October, Just ASK is once again working with St. Paul’s CBS Secondary School  "The Brunner" to support their Transition Year  students in finding meaningful work experience placements. For many young people, work experience is a highlight of TY. It provides a chance to step outside the classroom, explore interests, and get a taste of the working world. For the students we support in Dublin’s north west inner city, it can be even more powerful — a life-changing opportunity to imagine new possibilities for their future. Last year,

Thank You Paris2Nice – The Alumni Lunch Was Such a Success

By |September 15th, 2025|Categories: General|

Declan Keenan captivates the room. We are delighted to share that the recent Paris2Nice Alumni Lunch in aid of Just ASK was a tremendous success. Proceedings were kept on track by the hugely talented and entertaining Risteárd Cooper. Thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended, we raised badly needed funds that will go directly towards supporting the children, young people and families of Dublin’s northwest inner city. Risteárd Cooper kept everyone entertained. Funds were raised through ticket sales, a raffle, and a lively auction on the day. Each contribution, big or small, will make
